A Round-Table Discussion on the Current Refugee Crisis in the Mediterranean Basin

Democracy is applied everywhere; from a small village and tribe assembly, from a small city council, from a small city-state to megapolis, large nations and unions of them; rom a small trade union to large federations of trade unions; from a small family business to large associations and conglomerates. Even anarchists assembly together and elect (?) their archons (spokespersons)! Millions of people are involved in seeking to represent specific groups of people and billions are involved in electing them.
The scope of the Diploma is to bring together these people who elected and are being elected, i.e., all those who practice democracy in the synchronous cosmos, hoping that they make their Politeia better. Following Plato, the series of workshops, which make up the symposium, aim at training those elected to become better “Philosopher-Kings” and those who elect them become better “Philosopher-Citizens”. The seven workshops will give the opportunity to those elected and those who elect them to get together in the Polis that democracy was first practiced according to Pericles “Our city is open to the world, we never expel a foreigner from learning or seeing”.
