Dr. Oidinposha Imamkhodjaeva (Assistant Teaching Professor Pennsylvania State University USA) has accepted the offer from the Athens Institute to serve as Deputy Head of the Philosophy Unit

Dr. Imamkhodjaeva holds two PhDs, one in Philosophy, Interpretation, and Culture from Binghamton University, State University of New York, and another in the Philosophy of Science from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow.

She is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research interests encompass Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy, Globalization, Gender and Human Rights, Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism, and Comparative Philosophy, with a focus on both Western and Oriental/Asian traditions.

As the Deputy Head of Unit, Dr Imamkhodjaeva will be responsible for all the conferences (small symposiums) organized by the Philosophy unit including the Religion and Theology Symposium that is organized in collaboration with the Philosophy Unit. She will also serve as one of the editors of the Athens Journal of Philosophy.
