Dr. Anica Hunjet (Vice Rector, University North, Croatia) has accepted the offer from the Athens Institute to serve as the next Deputy Director of the Business and Law Division (more details).

An academic discussion on the future of education and research was held today (Friday, 13 June 2025) in downtown Athens.  Participants included Gregory T. We are glad to announce that Mr. Enzo Bonacci, Academic Member of the Sciences Division of the Atehns Insitute, has just been awarded the First Place in the “Philosophical Practices” of the prestigious XIX Italian National Prize “Le Figure del Pensiero” by the Association of Professionals in Philosophical Practices (APPF). Such prize is motivated by “De Coelo et Tempore”, an impressive lecture given during the celebration for the “Aristotle Anniversary Year” and published by the Italian Philosophical Society – Section “Feronia” (video) and by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

We are pleased to announce that our academic member, Dr. Manuel Malaver de la Fuente (Professor, Maritime University of the Caribbean, Venezuela), has been honored with the Aishwarya Memorial Academic Annual Award 2025 in India, recognizing his contributions to academia. We are pleased to share that our academic members, Dr. Thaddeus L. Johnson (Assistant Professor, Georgia State University, USA) and Dr. Natasha N. Johnson (Clinical Instructor, Georgia State University, USA) have published a new op-ed in The Washington Post on February 24th: This AI-powered crime tool can make cities safer — if we use it right (The Washington Post). Our academic member, Dr. Zoran S. Bojkovic, LSM IEEE, (Professor, University of Belgrade, Serbia) has published as a coeditor a book titled INTELLIGENT AND SUSTAINABLE ENGINEERING SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRY 4.0 AND BEYOND, available on CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, 2025. This is multidisciplinary book and is significant for any engineering background interested in acquiring a solid foundation in the fundamental concepts and state-of-the art research trends in Industry 4.0.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Manuel Malaver de la Fuente (Professor, Maritime University of the Caribbean, Venezuela), an esteemed academic member of the Mathematics & Statistics Unit since 2016, has now also joined the Center for Data Science.

We are pleased to inform you that our academic member, Masoumeh Naderi (Islamic Azad University, iRAN) has published a book titled: Financing Methods for Tourism Industry.

The book introduces new and diverse financing methods to readers that can contribute to the improvement of performance and competitiveness in tourism industry by providing a solid theoretical framework. The publication is available on Amazon.

Dr. Arturo F. Castellanos Ruelas, Researcher of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the Autonomous University of Yucatán, Mexico, was appointed as member of the Mexican Veterinary Academy. Undoubtedly his distinguished trajectory  as a researcher in animal science was the reason to obtain this achievement.

We are pleased to announce that the Head of the Natural Sciences Unit of the Athens Institute, Dr. Haiduke Sarafian (Professor of Physics and Endowed Chair of John T. and Paige S. We are pleased to share that our academic member, Dr. Santhanam Sundaram Ramachandran, has been elected as a member of the International Committee of IgMCG (International Group of Mathematical Creativity and Giftedness). His tenure will run from 2025 to 2029.

We are pleased to inform you that our academic member, Claudia S. Bianchini (Associate Professor, University of Poitiers, France) has published a book titled: (D)écrire les Langues des Signes: une approche grapholinguistique aux Langues des Signes
Series: Grapholinguistics and Its Applications.

We are pleased to announce that our academic member, Dr. Manuel Malaver de la Fuente (Professor, Maritime University of the Caribbean, Venezuela), has been honored with the Research Excellence Award by the Institute of Scholars (InSc), India. This recognition highlights Prof. Malaver de la Fuente’s outstanding contributions to research and scholarship.
