The Medicine Unit of the Athens Institute is organizing its 12th Annual International Microsymposium on Diabetes as part of the 14th Annual International Conference on Health & Medical Sciences, 4-8 May 2026, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Health and Medical Sciences.

The aim of the microsymposium is to bring together academics and researchers of diabetes and related disciplines. Consistent with the theme of the Athens Institute’s small academic events, all programs may include a few sessions on current topics in education and research.

Please note that all our conferences are non-thematic as explained in our policy (click here). However, academic members and friends can take the lead to organize and chair a stream as part of this conference.

Please submit an abstract (email only) to: atiner@atiner.gr, using the abstract submission form by 30 September 2025 to: Dr. Andriana Margariti, Head, Medicine Unit, Athens Institute & Professor, Queen’s University Belfast, U.K. or Dr. George Zahariadis, Director, Health & Medical Sciences Division, Athens Institute & Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. Abstracts should include the following: Title of Paper, Full Name (s), Affiliation, Current Position, an email address, and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of your submission. Decisions are reached within 4 weeks.
