ATINER is organizing a Special Session on “Development in Africa” as part of the 17th Annual International Conference on Global Studies: Business, Economic, Political, Social and Cultural Aspects, 18-21 December 2023, Athens, Greece.
The special session focuses on exploring diverse aspects of development in Africa, highlighting the significance of the continent’s progress and challenges. With a keen emphasis on economic, social and political dimensions, this session aims to shed light on the complex dynamics that shape Africa’s development trajectory. The aim of the session is to form a valuable platform for promoting discussion and knowledge sharing in pursuit of inclusive and transformative development in Africa. You may participate as presenter of one session or observer.

Abstracts should include the following: Title of Paper, Full Name (s), Affiliation, Current Position, an email address, and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of your submission. Decisions are reached within 4 weeks.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized, including a pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine-tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycenae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, a day trip to Delphi, and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit.
