Discussion on the Future of CSTCM Held on 10 June 2025 by Dr. Papanikos and Dr. Toanoglou
During the 21st Annual International Conference on Tourism, held from 9-12 June 2025 in Athens, Greece, a discussion took place between Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos, President of the Athens Institute, and Dr. Michail Toanoglou, Director of the CSTCM.
The conversation highlighted the potential for enriching the Center with a diverse mix of international researchers and members of the EPOT Tourism Think Tank.
In light of the many global challenges facing tourism today, the Center could serve as a strong pillar within the Athens Institute, contributing to the ongoing global dialogue on resilient, impactful, and regenerative tourism-moving beyond traditional sustainability frameworks.
