An informal academic discussion over lunch was held on Thursday, 24 July 2025, at a traditional Greek restaurant in downtown Athens.
Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos, President of the Athens Institute, along with members of the scientific committee, conference participants, and accompanying persons, joined the discussion.
Among the members of the scientific committee and conference participants in attendance were: Dr. Bala Maheswaran, Director of the Engineering Division at the Athens Institute and Professor at Northeastern University, USA; Dr. Haiduke Sarafian, Head of the Natural Sciences Unit at the Athens Institute and John T. and Paige S. Smith Endowed Chair and Professor of Physics at Pennsylvania State University, USA; Dr. Nikolaos Dimakis, Deputy Director of the
Sciences Division at the Athens Institute and Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, USA; Dr. Evangelia Kotsikorou, Deputy Head of the Natural Sciences Unit at the Athens Institute and Associate Professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, USA; Dr. Assimina Pelegri, Professor at Rutgers University, USA; and Dr. Nirusha Thavarajah, Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, Canada.
