as part of the 18th Annual International Conference on Global Studies: Business, Economic, Political, Social and Cultural Aspects
18-21 December 2024, Athens, Greece
The Athens Institute is organizing a Microsymposium on “Building Resilient Digital Marketing Strategies for 2025 and Beyond” as part of the 18th Annual International Conference on Global Studies: Business, Economic, Political, Social and Cultural Aspects, 18-21 December 2024, Athens, Greece
This session invites academic papers that explore theoretical and practical approaches to building resilient digital marketing strategies in response to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. We seek insights on how disruptive technologies such as AI, blockchain, and the metaverse are shaping digital marketing, as well as how consumer behaviour, influenced by the post-pandemic world, is shifting the direction of marketing tactics. Topics of interest include the integration of sustainability and ethical considerations into digital marketing strategies, balancing global scalability with local market sensitivity, and adapting to increasingly stringent data privacy regulations. Additionally, we encourage research on the role of AI and machine learning in optimizing and personalizing campaigns, creating seamless omnichannel experiences, and safeguarding marketing efforts against economic shocks. Papers that offer case studies, empirical research, or theoretical analyses on how brands can future-proof their digital marketing strategies and thrive in uncertain environments are especially welcome. You may participate as a presenter of one paper and/or an attendee.
Please submit an abstract (email only) to: atiner@atiner.gr, using the abstract submission form by 5 November 2024 to: Dr. Abdulelah Abed Althagafi, Academic Member, Athens Institute & Assistant Professor, The University of Business and Technology, Saudi Arabia.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized which give a great opportunity to further discuss the issues presented at the conference. From Athens Institute’s long experience these events bring together scholars from different countries and disciplines which may result to research collaborations and joint publications. These events include a pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine-tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycenae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, a day trip to Delphi, and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit. Details of the social program are available here.
