The Athens Institute, on the occasion of the national anniversary of the Greek revolution against the Ottomans aiming to establish an independent state, is organizing its 3rd Special Event under the auspices of the Athenian Academic Periodical, entitled: “Revolutions of National Independence and the Birth of the Nation-State during the 18th and 19th Centuries”.

The event will explore the political, social, and cultural dimensions of the struggles for independence that reshaped the concepts of sovereignty, citizenship, and identity on a global scale.
