Dr. Robert Earle (Wilson Ethics Fellow and Associate Professor, University of Northern Iowa, USA)
has accepted the offer from the Athens Institute to serve as the new head of the
 Annual International Forum on Ethics and Human Rights

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Earle (Wilson Ethics Fellow and Associate Professor, University of Northern Iowa, USA), has accepted the offer from the Athens Institute to serve as the new head of the Annual International Forum on Ethics and Human Rights organized by the Business, Economics and Law Division of the Athens Institute.

Following his active participation in previous conferences, Dr. Earle has accepted the proposal to take the lead of the Annual International Forum on Ethics and Human Rights, beginning with the 10th Annual International Forum on Ethics and Human Rights, taking place 3-8 May 2027 in Athens, Greece.

We warmly congratulate him on this appointment and wish him every success in his new role, as well as continued achievements in advancing ethical scholarship and dialogue.

About Robert Earle

Associate Professor of Instruction and Wilson Ethics Fellow. He holds a BA in Philosophy and English with a minor in Classics from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (2006) and a PhD in Philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo (2015). His teaching spans general and applied ethics, including environmental ethics, technology, business and professional ethics, human sexuality, ancient and world philosophies, as well as courses in academic writing and critical thinking. His research focuses on environmental value theory (ethics and aesthetics) and the history of normative ethics, with publications in Environmental Ethics and Teaching Philosophy, along with ongoing work on utilitarianism and ethical obligations toward strangers.
