Marketing Strategy
Stream Leader:
Dr. Sourav Ray, Academic Member, ATINER & Professor of Marketing, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, Canada.

The Marketing Strategy stream will focus on research that study how firms create, communicate and transact value in technology intensive markets. The purpose of this stream is to showcase a broad range of research endeavours in this domain with a view towards bridging scholarly research and industry practice. Both theoretical and empirical papers, including in-depth case studies will be considered. Studies using primary data that allow the researchers to tap into deeper firm level constructs that cannot easily be observed in secondary and archival datasets are encouraged. These primary data approaches include field and lab experiments, observations and surveys. While common method bias is often criticized as challenging the validity of key informant surveys in marketing strategy research, we recognize that such bias is not inevitable and depends on the research design. So, we encourage research programs that directly address these concerns. The preference is for papers with strong managerial content. Sample application areas include but are not limited to, hi-technology marketing, e-commerce, innovation, sustainability. Papers that focus on the firm’s Pricing, Product and Channel strategy are particularly encouraged.
