The Monotheistic Idea in the Mediterranean Basin

A Small Symposium on “The Monotheistic Idea in the Mediterranean Basin”
as part of the 13th Annual International Conference on Mediterranean Studies
6-9 April 2020, Athens, Greece
Sponsored by the Athens Journal of Mediterranean Studies

The Center for European & Mediterranean Affairs organizes a Small Symposium on “The Monotheistic Idea in the Mediterranean Basin”, 6-9 April 2020, Athens, Greece as part of the 13th Annual International Conference on Mediterranean Studies sponsored by the Athens Journal of Mediterranean Studies.

This symposium wants to highlight how important it is to establish a clear and fruitful relationship among people all over the world, and above all among the ones living around the shore of the Mediterranean sea. Knowing the culture of those peoples as well as their creed and faith is the starting point to eliminate prejudices and false clishés which tend to raise misunderstandings generating hate. In addition, creed and culture stimulate the learning of the languages linked to those peoples, a good way to enrich our mind and to better understand their religion.. You may participate as presenter of one paper or observer.

Fee structure information is available on www.atiner.gr/fees.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment with dinner, a special one-day cruise to selected Greek islands, Mycenae and Island of Poros Visit, an archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi. Details of the social program are available here.

Please submit an abstract before 9 December 2019, by email, to atiner@atiner.gr, Dr. Maria Rosaria, D’Acierno, Academic Member, ATINER & Associate Professor, Parthenope University of Naples, Italy. Please use the abstract submission form.
