On Monday 15 June 2026, as part of the Annual International conference organized by the Athens Institute, a symposium titled “The World at a Crossroads: Power, Order, and Uncertainty” was held in Athens. The session featured presentations by Philip G. Cerny (Professor Emeritus, University of Manchester, UK and Rutgers University, USA); Domenico Maddaloni (Professor, University of Salerno, Italy); Mehmet Cevat Yildirim (Associate Professor, Gaziantep University, Türkiye); Ludovica Marchi (Visiting Fellow, London School of Economics and Political Science, UK); and George Zahariadis (Associate Professor, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada).
Interventions were delivered by Hemmat Safwat (Director, Energy Development Services, Greece), Eliza Gardiner (Professor, Vancouver Island University, Canada), and Aykush Avanesyan (Senior Lecturer, Kuban State University, Russia).
