Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos Meets with the new Academic Member of the Athens Institute, Mr. Thomas Sakoulas

On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, during the 17th Annual International Conference on Visual and Performing Arts, held in Athens, Greece, on 8-9 June 2026, Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos, President of the Athens Institute and Professor (Adjunct) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, met with Mr. Thomas Sakoulas, Professor at the State University of New York at Oneonta, USA.

During the meeting, Mr. Sakoulas, as a newly joined member of the Athens Institute, discussed opportunities for future academic collaboration and engagement within the Institute’s activities.

We would like to thank Mr. Sakoulas for his active and engaging participation in the conference and warmly welcome him as a member of the Athens Institute. We look forward to his future contributions and collaboration in the Athens Institute’s academic activities and initiatives.

Mr. Sakoulas is the creator of Ancient-Greece.org, a scholarly photographic and research archive dedicated to the study of Greek antiquity from Stone Age to the Roman Imperial Era.
