Dr. Andrew Ward (Honorary Life Fellow in Philosophy, University of York, UK)
has been appointed Honorary Head of the Philosophy Unit
Dr Andrew Ward’s research interests span a number of areas of philosophy, including the history of modern philosophy from Locke to Kant, personal identity, scepticism, and aesthetics. His publications include significant work on Immanuel Kant and David Hume, particularly in metaphysics, theory of knowledge and aesthetics.
As Honorary Head of the Philosophy Unit, Dr Ward will be responsible for the conferences (small symposiums) organized by the unit including the Religion and Theology Symposium that is organized in collaboration with the Philosophy Unit. He may also serve as one of the editors of the Athens Journal of Philosophy.
