PASEM
The Panhellenic
Association of Sports Economists & Managers (PASEM) was
established in 2000 as a non-profit organisation with a mission to promote and
develop education and research in sports economics and management. More
specifically it aims to:
- Promote
the sports economist profession in both the public and the private sector.
- Develop
the use of both education and research in sports economics and management.
- Establish
international exchange programs in the European Union and other countries
as well as transaction networks concerning scientific matters in the
sports economics and management.
- Organise
postgraduate Programmes in collaboration with both Greek and foreign
universities.
- Organise
scientific conferences, congresses, speeches, seminars etc.
- Publish
periodicals, books, monographs and working papers.
- Organise
short-term or even long-term educational programs on sport management
affairs.
- Establish
scholarships and other awards for developing research in sport management.
- Promote
research programs in collaboration with other similar organizations in the
area of education, tourism, recreation and leisure.
The Panhellenic Association of Sports Economists & Managers is an
organisation constantly striving to enhance its expertise and understanding of
the growing needs relating to domestic and international sport issues. In
collaboration with the Research Unit of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the
Athens Institute for Education and Research organizes an annual International
